Mission
Tarbiyah Seminary is a structured Islamic learning program designed for Muslim American youth and adults. The program is organized into four levels: Amanah, a two-year track for elementary school boys and girls; Shafqah, a three-year track for middle school boys and girls; Nusrah, a three-year track for high school boys and girls; and Hikmah, an advanced track for adults ages 18 and above. Each level is designed to nurture Islamic knowledge, character development, and spiritual growth in ways relevant to the needs and experiences of Muslims living in America.
Our Programs
Amanah
(Elementary School)
Amanah, the first tier of the Tarbiyah Seminary, is thoughtfully designed for elementary school students at the beginning of their Islamic learning journey. The word "Amanah" in Arabic means trust, a sacred responsibility that children are encouraged to understand through age-appropriate lessons rooted in Qur’ān, Sunnah, and character building.
Shafqah
(Middle School)
Shafqah, the second tier of the Tarbiyah Seminary, provides a supportive setting for middle school students who are interested in exploring Islam more deeply. Given the Arabic word "Shafqah" translates to compassion or care, we focus on guiding students through this pivotal age with empathy, tying their personal growth to the foundational teachings of this beautiful religion of Islam.
Nusrah
(High School)
Nusrah, the third tier of the Tarbiyah Seminary, is specifically designed for high school students interested in deepening their Islamic faith and understanding. The term "Nusrah" in Arabic signifies support or assistance, embodying the dual aspects of giving and receiving help. In alignment with this, we aim to aid our students in their spiritual journey, while also teaching them the importance of seeking divine assistance from Allah and being of service to others.
Hikmah
(Adults 18+)
Hikmah, the final stage of the Tarbiyah Seminary, caters to adults aged 18 and above, who wish to broaden their understanding of Islam. "Hikmah" in Arabic means wisdom, an apt descriptor for this program that focuses on the integration of advanced Islamic teachings into the wisdom of life's experiences. We aim to guide our students in acquiring wisdom from Islamic teachings and understanding how to apply this wisdom in their everyday life.

Full year $400 per year, $25 mandatory registration fee per semester
