A Sustainable Waqf for the Future of ISRA

ISRA HQ is a nonprofit masjid and community center built, supported, and operated by dedicated young professionals and community members. Our Board of Trustees has long envisioned establishing sustainable sources of income that will allow ISRA to become less dependent upon donations and better equipped to serve generations to come.

As part of this vision, ISRA HQ has established a waqf by acquiring Aman Medical Lab.

Throughout Islamic history, the Companions رضي الله عنهم dedicated their gardens, wells, properties, and businesses for the sake of Allah. When ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه acquired land at Khaybar and asked the Prophet ﷺ what to do with it, he was told to hold the asset itself and give away its yield. That is the model here: not a campaign that is spent once, but something that keeps producing long after we are gone.

Alḥamdulillāh, Aman Medical Lab is a fully licensed clinical laboratory that has completed its Medicare enrollment and is now open for test intake. It is wholly owned by ISRA HQ, 100% of its net proceeds are dedicated to ISRA and its long-term projects:

A permanent masjid and community center with a full-time Islamic school that has a comprehensive Hifdh and ʿĀlimiyyah embedded in their K-12 journey, We have one or the other, but not one with the other
The First and Only Muslim Behavioral Tarbiyah Center in the Western hemisphere, dedicated to helping individuals overcome harmful habits, develop discipline, and achieve lasting spiritual and personal growth

Community Presentation and Lunch

We will be hosting a lunch and presentation to introduce Aman Medical Lab, explain the waqf model, and share ISRA's long-term vision. The presentation will cover the laboratory's licensing and accreditation, its test menu and methodology, turnaround and courier logistics, and results delivery, followed by Q&A with our laboratory director.

Give to the waqf. Zelle: donate@israfoundation.com, or become a monthly supporter. A gift to the waqf is never spent without depth and intent, it goes into the laboratory itself, and the laboratory returns its earnings to ISRA every year that it operates. One dollar given today keeps giving long after the person who gave it.
