Shaykh Sulayman al-Kindi
Shaykh Sulayman al-Kindi was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied under the renowned scholar, Shaykh Taha Karaan, and graduated as Alim from Darul Uloom Zakariyya, Lenasia, South Africa in 2003. In 2019 he obtained his BA Honours in Religion with distinction at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
He has worked as a radio presenter on www.radioislam.org.za, and remains a guest speaker discussing Islamic issues on Jewish community radio station, chaifm.com. He is currently a researcher at sanha.org.za and Arabic teacher at www.learningmuslim.com.
An accomplished translator, he has translated various Arabic and Urdu works, most notably Futhuh ash-Sham of al-Waqidi.
He writes on various Islamic issues on his blog, touching on history, politics, contemporary issues, etc.
