ABOUT

What is Tarbiyah Intensive?

Tarbiyah Intensive is a transformative program for students to get in touch with traditional sciences that are directly taught from an unbroken chain all the way from the Prophet ﷺ. Students will immerse themselves in a 10 month journey whether it be full-time or part-time, onsite or online, that will strengthen their Arabic language to allow them to be articulate enough to understand the Qur’an, build a foundational structure of Islamic Studies, and indulge in the righteous company of fellow motivated students and respected scholars. Our goal is to help develop Muslim Americans that are able to spiritually benefit themselves, their family, and serve the community at large to make a change for tomorrow.

What will students gain?

Students will gain the ability to understand more than 85% of the Qur’an, become fluent in reading and writing Arabic, memorize applicable hadith, understand the life and embody the character of the Prophet ﷺ, understand fundamental laws of Islam, and truly appreciate what it means to be a Muslim.

"I joined this program with the goal of eventually being able to understand the Qur’ān and adīth. I have honestly gained more than I could have ever imagined. You won't just learn a new language, but rather you will gain humility, adab, knowledge from a profound scholar and so much more."

FAQ

Are there any prerequisites?

Being able to recite Qur’ān

Will there be homework?

Yes, there will definitely be homework. Students are expected to spend about 3 hours a day for homework/studying.

Can I work while attending the program?

Working is actually encouraged for students to balance their studies and professional career. Full-time students would be advised to work part-time to be able to give enough time for homework and studying.

Can I be in my undergraduate or graduate and still attend this program?

If you are taking classes online or at night then you would be able to attend the program. However, if students are taking 15+ hours they should consider all their commitments and understand the sacrifices they will have to make to manage both.

Do students have holiday breaks?

Yes. Students will have Fall, Winter, Spring, and Eid breaks. We try to align our breaks with the University in our area for the convenience of the students and their families.

Will onsite classed be offered?

As of right now, classes will be held online. Insha’Allah in the next 6-12 months we can offer onsite classes.

How will online classes operate?

Classes will be conducted live for online students, and then kept in the student portal for all students inshā’Allāh.
